Dr. David McGuire, Lecturer in HRD, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh
Dr. David McGuire is a lecturer in human resource development (HRD) at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland. Having graduated from National University of Ireland, Galway in 1998, with a Bachelor of Corporate Law, he attended University of Limerick, where he attained a Masters of Business Studies in Human Resource Management in December 1999. He worked as a lecturer in Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, for the academic year 1999-2000, teaching Employee Development on the CIPD Diploma in Personnel Management course. He is Assistant National Expert for Ireland on the European Commission funded BENE (Business Education Network of Europe) project. In 2003/2004, he was visiting Fulbright scholar at Oakland University, Michigan. He worked from Jan. 05 to Jan. 08 at Napier University, Edinburgh. His doctoral dissertation from the University of Limerick is entitled: The Relationship between Individual and Managerial Values and Human Resource Decision-Making: A Comparative Study.
David would welcome correspondence in relation to research plans, knowledge transfer activities or joint projects with companies or charities.
